Overview
Oren & Zenith spend the day in the hot sun trekking across the drowning road. Amongst a gaggle of fellow candidates seeking entrance into the Mages of High Sorcery. The group must make it to the Barb by dusk or wait another year for the three moons of Krynn to align. This Night of the Eye weighs heavily upon our two candidates. Steely focus on the unknown challenges that lay before them.
In the distance, the spires of dawn can be seen peaking over the rolling hills. Cresting the final hill, the road twists and leads down to a ruin illuminated by the three moons.

The Trial
Entering through the gate, the circular room is filled with more doors than there are rooms. The walls are covered in massive tapestries highlighting the markings of the various orders of the High Sorcery Mages.
In the middle of the room lit by focused beams from the three moons, stands three figures. Each clothed in a different color robe. The red robe mage steps forward, her figure is hooded, eyes hidden behind the shadow of the hood. Her greyish hair flowing out from the lower opening of the hood. She welcomes the group. Warning each that the trial ahead, while not carrying the danger of the test of high sorcery, is limited to the time of alignment of the moons over the the barb.
Beckoning the group to pair up and approach when ready to begin their trial. Walking towards the outer edge of the room, looking through various doors, stairs up, down and halls straight ahead can be seen. Reaching one of the entrances, our pair find themselves looking up a set of stairs that leads to a circular gate, with an amber veil filling the circle. The ripples of the opaque veil indicate high levels of magic. With confidence the pair steps through the veil.
The Maze
Finding themselves teleported into a large circular room, the doorway they enter vanished behind them. Directly across the room, a doorway appears. From within the center of the room a pedestal raises from the floor. Atop the pedestal is an ornate golden key, floating as if suspended by magic. Along the walls and floors close to the pedestal are black stones engraved with runes.

Stepping forward Oren runs into an invisible wall. Tracing his hand along the wall he arrives at an edge the appears to turn in towards the key. Following the turn about 10 feet closer to the key he is met with a sharp turn to the right. Backing out he back tracks to meet Zenith. Zenith having spent that time attempting to decipher the runes. Only able to parse some of the words. Locked, once, gateway.
The pair decide to trace their way around the room, attempting to map the potential entrances into the center of the room. Oren slides his way back towards where he recalled the first entrance into the center. The way no longer exists. He finds the first opening about 15 feet further then he previously entered. Pausing to take in the reality. This is a maze, but not a typical maze. The inner route shifts and morphs as they calculate their tactics to reach the key.
The Way Out
Regrouping, they spend time again trying to decipher the runes and further uncover the tricks the maze before them holds.
Zenith having heard the discovery from Oren is flushed with hope and remembers something he'd read a few years ago. The meaning of some of the runes sharpen in his mind. He recalls the word "Pulto" and that the runes outline the behavior of a spell known as knock. It's ability is to unlock doors, chests, and other non-magically sealed doors and lids.
Oren focusing on the invisible walls. Learns that the entrances shift, but only after they have spent time away from a certain spot. Learning that after about 10 minutes away from a previous entrance, it disappears. Leading him to conclude that the maze is not static. Shifting while outside some unknown proximity to their location.
Describing their findings they make their way to the locked door in an attempt to try using the knock spell they learned from the wall. After speaking the words "Pulto" the carving of the runes begin to glow hot red and disappear from the black stones as if being consumed by the room. The door shudders loudly and after a brief moment creaks open slowly. Behind the door is a whitish grey semi translucent veil of magic.
The team proceed through the veil. First Zenith moves through the veil. Oren watches as the further into the veil he moves the more he disappears. Oren follows as Zenith disappears.
The Trial Ends
As they make their way deeper into the veil, they find themselves climbing a set of stairs. As they crest the top of the stairs they find themselves entering the great hall with the three mages standing in the center. They are approached by the three mages. Again the mage in Red, Rovina, introduces herself.
